qué adj./pron. 1 Introduce preguntas sobre cosas concretas o abstractas: ¿qué libro estás leyendo?; ¿qué voy a hacer ahora? 2 Con un sustantivo, adjetivo o adverbio, introduce oraciones exclamativas que expresan emoción, admiración o disgusto: ¡qué calor hace hoy! ¿por qué? Se utiliza para preguntar la causa o razón de una cosa. ¿qué? I En una conversación, indica que no se entiende lo que dice el interlocutor: Me voy a la compra. ¿Qué? Que me voy a la compra. II Se usa para responder a una llamada: Oye, Silvia. ¿Qué? ¿Me dejas el coche? ¿qué tal? I Expresión que se utiliza en los saludos para interesarse por la salud o el estado del otro: ¡hombre, Luis!, ¿qué tal? II Se utiliza en preguntas para pedir un juicio o una evaluación sobre una cosa: ¿qué tal me ha salido? ¿y qué? Expresión que indica que lo dicho o hecho por otro no importa o no interesa: Últimamente te portas muy mal. ¿Y qué?, ¡me da igual! qué pron. interr. Solo o precedido de preposición equivale a cuál, cuán, o cuánto, esp. precede a la palabra a que se refiere: ¿qué gente es esa?; ¡qué de pobres!; ¿con qué hombres alternas? Como neutro equivale a qué cosa: ¿qué haré? Nótese su uso en la interrogación indirecta en que une oraciones como la conjunción que: dime qué camino he de seguir; mira qué triste viene; no sé qué hacer. ¡Qué! interj. Tiene sentido negativo y ponderativo. Sin qué ni para, {o} por qué. loc. adv. Sin motivo, causa ni razón alguna. ¿Y qué? Denota que lo dicho o hecho por otro no convence.
